My philosophy on photography is simple: I do it because I love it. I love people, I love capturing the essence of a person. I love show people how I see them, not necessarily how they see themselves. Most often, people sell themselves short. My goal is to capture that one true moment that is the embodiment of a person’s vibrance or being.
I also love photography because it is not my job. I have a desire to meet new people, learn about others, and take on projects that are interesting for good people.
I am a graphic designer by trade and I have approached communicating visually by two basic tenets:
I suppose I’m a minimalist. I love to shoot white, black and gray seamless. I love distilling people down to their essence to reveal the one thing within that truly separates individuals…that one thing that makes you, you! I shoot other things as well (as evidenced by other work) but my passion is people.
I’m not a natural light shooter, a strobe only shooter, a continuous light shooter. I love to experiment. I mix. I match. I do whatever works for a situation.
I’m open to hear feedback, comments, etc. and if you would like to speak to me about a project, portrait or something that I have not conceived as of yet, go to my contact page, fill out the form and I’ll get back with you very soon.
